Halyard, Europe’s largest designer and manufacturer of specialist marine exhaust systems, has announced the appointment of Uflex as distributor of its products in Italy.
Uflex is part of the Ultraflex Group, one of Italy’s leading organisations specialising in the manufacture and distribution of marine products. Uflex Marine Technical Division distributes a range of world leading products including generators and engines, watermakers and electronic controls.
Uflex was selected by Halyard because of its significant presence in the market, and its proven method of distributing technical based products. Hugh Cunningham, Senior Project Sales Manager at Halyard, said: “Uflex offers a network of technical centres, with the distribution division split into levels of complexity. This works extremely well with Halyard products, which range from one off customer designed exhaust silencers, through to off the shelf accessories. We require a distributor that can address all levels of the market place, from new build superyachts through to dealers meeting the needs of the weekend boater.”
Headquartered in Salisbury, Halyard is now Europe’s largest designer and manufacturer of marine exhaust systems, employing 90 people and concentrating on applications for craft between 15m and 100m. The company recently won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, in the Innovation category, for its work in developing new ways to reduce exhaust noise on large powered craft.
